Das Duo mit der kanadischen Trompeterin Lina Allemano und der Berliner Kontrabassistin Maike Hilbig bewegt sich zwischen Komposition und freier Improvisation. Beide Musikerinnen entwickeln aus präzise gesetzten Strukturen offene Klangräume, in denen sich fragile Texturen, energetische Verdichtungen und spontane Interaktion entfalten.

Ihre Stücke verbinden zeitgenössischen Jazz, experimentelle Musik und intuitive Kommunikation zu einem konzentrierten, zugleich offenen Duo-Sound. Trompete und Kontrabass begegnen sich dabei auf Augenhöhe: als Resonanzkörper, Impulsgeber und gemeinsame Forschungsfläche.

Das Ergebnis ist eine Musik voller Aufmerksamkeit für Klang, Dynamik und Form – unmittelbar, vielschichtig und stets im Moment verankert.

Seit seinem überregionalen Debut 1981 beim (West-)Berliner Total Music Meeting gilt Andreas Willers als Gitarrist mit außergewöhnlich breitem stilistischen Background und enormen technischen wie klanglichen Möglichkeiten, getragen von sicherem Formgefühl und emotionaler Kraft. Im Soloprogramm Extensions jongliert er frei mit Eigenkompositionen aus verschiedenen Band- und Soloprojekten der letzten Jahrzehnte – und womöglich mit Stücken von Jimmy Wyble, Scott LaFaro, Thelonious Monk, Jimi Hendrix oder Lennon/McCartney.

The duo featuring Canadian trumpeter Lina Allemano and Berlin-based double bassist Maike Hilbig moves between composition and free improvisation. From precisely set structures, both musicians develop open sonic spaces in which fragile textures, energetic intensifications and spontaneous interaction unfold.

Their pieces weave contemporary jazz, experimental music and intuitive communication into a concentrated yet open duo sound. Trumpet and double bass meet on equal footing: as resonating bodies, sources of impulse and a shared field of exploration.

The result is music full of attention to sound, dynamics and form – immediate, multi-layered and always anchored in the moment.

Andreas Willers – guitar

Since his national debut in 1981 at the Total Music Meeting in (West) Berlin, Andreas Willers has been regarded as a guitarist with an exceptionally broad stylistic background and enormous technical and sonic range, underpinned by a sure sense of form and emotional power. In his solo programme Extensions, he moves freely between his own compositions from various band and solo projects of recent decades – and possibly pieces by Jimmy Wyble, Scott LaFaro, Thelonious Monk, Jimi Hendrix or Lennon/McCartney.
