The ninth edition of the POSITIONS Berlin Art Fair is taking place from 15 – 18 September 2022 as part of the BERLIN ART WEEK, transforming the spacious hangars of the former Tempelhof Airport with its apron into a hotspot for the creative scene and the art market. You can look forward to a strong and international line-up and a unique combination of established artistic positions and emerging talents.

The 88 international galleries from 20 different countries of POSITIONS Berlin Art Fair 2022 will offer selected works of internationally known artists as well as new discoveries and rediscoveries in different price segments. Look forward to big names like Eduard Bargheer and Karl Schmidt-Rottluff (Thole Rotermund Kunsthandel), Auguste Rodin, Georg Grosz and Paul McCarthy (Akim Monet Fine Arts), Max Liebermann and Lotte Laserstein (Dr. Nöth Kunsthandel + Galerie) as well as Vera Molnar (DAM Projects), which will be shown alongside emerging young artists, including the glazed ceramic objects of Dominika Bednarsky and paintings by Marlon Hesse (Galerie Anita Beckers & Galerie Kornfeld) textile works by the young Romanian artist Adriana Preda (Ivan Gallery), works by the Latvian up-and-coming artist Janis Sneiders (MAKSLA XO) or the experimental exposures on analog photographic paper by Marta Djourina (FeldbuschWiesnerRudolph). In addition, great feminist photographs by Polish avant-garde icon Natalia LL (lokal_30), a new series of works by Mark Francis (Bernhard Knaus Fine Art), paintings by Ivorian artist Yannick Ackah (Galerie Melbye-Konan), installations and sculptural wall works by Geerten Verheus (Galerie Georg Nothelfer) compositions by the rediscovered Bauhaus artist Petra Petitpierre (ZELLERMAYER Galerie), magnificent works on paper by the American performance artist Karen Finley (GOLESTANI) as well as sculptures by Maja Babič Košir (RAVNIKAR GALLERY SPACE) and much more can be discovered at this years POSITIONS Berlin Art Fair. 

An extensive supporting program with special exhibitions, talks, social events, and live music completes the repertoire of the art fair. The popular special exhibition Academy POSITIONS will once again provide an overview of current themes and working methods of the up-and-coming generation of artists, and the curated Selected POSITIONS section will offer new collectors in particular an entry into the art market - with artworks measuring a maximum of 50 x 50 cm and costing less than 1,900 euros. In addition, FASHION POSITIONS will make the interface between fashion and art visible, and stages selected Berlin fashion designers in the context of and in exchange with art.
