Arcane Allies are a Minimal-Krautrock family trio formed in 2016. Inspired by
Psychedelic and Synth Bands such as Can, Neu!, Tangerine Dream and Moon Duo
the couple Sidney Jaffe (drums and synths) and Christiana Bonhaus (Theremin)
were joined by Joel Jaffe on guitar. Arcane Allies formed during a USA trip with the
Psych Surf Band Dai Kaiju. After 16 shows in the States, relocation to Germany and
tours with Burnpilot and Sidneys solo project Ornamental, Arcane Allies recorded

> Kombynat Robotron < Kiel, DE - Tonzonen Rec. -

Kombynat Robotron is a four-piece heavy freak-out Krautrock band from Kiel/Germany.
All members of the Kombynat were (and still are) playing in other bands before they met for a jam in April 2018. After a few jams they decided to form a band but to keep on jamming instead of writing songs. The robotronic musicis based on repetitive patterns but features a wide range of influences due to the different sonic backgrounds of the musicians.
Krautrock-grooves that smoothly evolve, from outer-space spheres into psychedelic and back to Krautrock.
Shortly after the band’s first tape release in summer 2018by Ogorekords the band signed with Tonzonen Records for a vinyl release of Modul 12. Since then Kombynat Robotron has released several EPs digitally and worked with labels like Weird Beard Records, Cruel Nature Records and Misophonia Records for tape releases.
In September 2020 the band’s 2ndfull-length studio recording Dickfehler Studio Treffen 1 was released through Drone Rock Records. In 2021 the band released their critically acclaimed third full-length album-270°C, again through Tonzonen Records and a split EP with KORB. A live LP recorded in Recklinghausen was released with Acid Test Recordings and Little Cloud records in 2021 too. Three new LPs are ordered for 2022, again with Drone Rock Records and Acid Test Recordings and their first Release with Clostridium records.
The band shared stages with bands like Kanaan, Automatism and Kungens Män and played shows across Germany. 2020/21 plans for shows and Festivals in Germany and abroad were crossed by the pandemic, but it didn’t stop the band from creating new music and working on new releases.

Space is the place. After their vinyl debut Modul 12 (2019), -270°C is Kombynat Robotrons second release through Tonzonen Records. The album contains four mostly improvised tracks, each named after a space-telescope. Compton, Chandra, Spitzer and Hubble are four different
perspectives on space, four deep looks into the universe.
While the band’s live performances are always a unique experience of longform-jams that slowly evolve, Kombynat Robotron take a different approach on this record. The music is still improvised, yet there’s clearly a different vibe in these tracks than in the band’s earlier records.
The clean artwork, which was again made by Anton Ohlow, who also created the artwork for Modul 12, shows the direction towards which the Kombynat is heading. The clarity and transparency in the artwork can also be found in the sound of this record.
The album was recorded at Dickfehler Studio in east frisia by Hanno Janßen, who also recorded the band’s last LP Dickfehler Studio Treffen I (Dronerock Records, 2020). The well-balanced sound makes it
easy to discover something new with each spin of the record, almost like looking up to the stars through a telescope.
