Das sagt der/die Veranstalter:in:

Newark, NJ native Rah Digga is an American rapper, model and actress. She had a thriving musical career since the 1990s. Rah exploded on the music scene when she caught the eye of A Tribe Called Quest’s Q-Tip, as she was throwing down at New York’s famed SOB for Lyricist Lounge, Q-Tip introduced Rah to Busta Rhymes, who brought her onboard as the only female member of his newly created Flipmode Squad.

It wasn’t long before Rah would be featured – whether with her Flipmode comrades or on her own – on some of hip-hop’s most ground-breaking and influential projects, from Grammy winners and nominees to platinum juggernauts to gold gems, including: The Fugees’ The Score (“Cowboys”); DJ Clue’s The Professional, Pt. 2 (“Getting It”); and several Busta Rhymes projects.

Following Rah and the Flipmode Squad striking gold with "The Imperial" Album, and winning the Source Hip Hop Music Award for Best New Group, in 2000 she finally released her solo project, "Dirty Harriet". Her single "Imperial" in 1999 hit #16 on the Hot Rap Singles chart and "Break Fool" in 2000 hit #15 on the same chart. Digga won a BET

Hip Hop Award in 2006 for Best Collabo for "Touch It (remix)". She has been nominated for four BET Awards, two other BET Hip Hop Awards, and a MTV Video Music Award.

Rah also merged her love of film with music by performing on several soundtracks: Friday After Next, Dr. Doolittle 2, Thirteen Ghosts, Blade II, and of course, Carmen: A Hip Hopera alongside Beyonce and Wyclef Jean where she made her debut on the movie screen as well. She has since taken the world by storm with her husky voice and cut-throat punchlines.

Rah has been called "one of rap's most prominent women MCs" by Allmusic and "one of hip-hop's most skilled female MCs" in the book "How to Rap".

Look out for upcoming projects...this girl never stops!
