How could you possibly learn to love others, without first learning how to truly love yourself?
It’s easy enough to say, "Sure, I love myself", but if you hold onto regret, disappointment, and the trauma of unmet expectations within families or other close relationships, then there's an opportunity to go deeper to receive the love you deserve. You’re worthy of it ❤️
On Saturday, May 9th, we invite you to a Reel Love event which may be one of our most meaningful. It’ll be co-hosted by Jenn M. Choi, a Chinese-American empowerment coach and author of “Enough to Rise,” a book about complicated family love, grief, generational trauma, and learning to love yourself and others 🐦🔥
We'll begin the afternoon with a screening of the heartfelt, record-breaking masterpiece Everything Everywhere All At Once, a film packed with action, comedy, multi-dimensional travel, and complex family relationships that will surely touch your heart and stir your soul. You’ll laugh, cry, and cheer...all at once 👁️
Following the film, we invite our guests to remain in the cinema as Jenn, whose own journey mirrors the immigrant mother-daughter relationship at the center of the film, leads us in a discussion to explore and dive deeper into how the movie's themes relate to modern relationships ❤️🩹
We know this event will touch upon heavy topics, but they’re deeply important during these times of change. If you’ve ever wanted to hear from others how they've healed from similar pain, then we hope you'll join us at the Filmrauschpalast. Sharing is entirely optional, and guests are just as welcome to listen 🙏🏽
❤️ Film screening of EEAAO begins at 3pm. Presented in original language with English subtitles 🇨🇳🇺🇸
❤️ Fireside chat with Jenn after the film
We can’t wait to see you there!
