Social Price: 15€ (FRI/SAT) — available exclusively at the door OR in presale when enough Supporter Tickets are sold
Standard Price: FRI 20€ / SAT 25€ — available in presale and at the door
Supporter Price: FRI 25€ / SAT 32€ — available in presale and at the door
We’ll reserve a set number of Social Price tickets at the door on both days. If enough Supporter tickets are sold — helping us cover essential costs — we’re happy to release an additional batch of Social Price tickets to the presale as well.
Why three prices?
Our aim is to make live music and culture accessible to as many people as possible. We invite you to choose the price that best matches your current means. While cultural funding helps, it’s the support of those who can pay a little more that makes these events possible for everyone.
It’s back! And so are we! Born as emo music’s most infamous meme in 2017, it sparked controversy, debate, and —by 2025— even a full-blown festival.
Rites of Spring (a real emo) Fest in Munich, hosted by CoreChaos, became reality.
And in 2026, due to popular demand, after possibly decades of work - and maybe even our proudest achievement yet - we’re truly over to moon to announce: Rites of Spring returns for TWO DAYS OF REAL EMO, this May at Kafe Kult.
So once more, In silence and humility, we proclaim:
On January 7th, 2017, the Facebook page „Memelords against furries and fake emo,“ a satirical page poking fun at emo purists, posted a lengthy rant about what constitutes „fake“ and „real“ emo. The post reads:
„Real Emo“ only consists of the dc Emotional Hardcore scene and the late 90’s Screamo scene. What is known by „Midwest Emo“ is nothing but Alternative Rock with questionable real emo influence. When people try to argue that bands like My Chemical Romance are not real emo, while saying that Sunny Day Real Estate is, I can’t help not to cringe because they are just as fake emo as My Chemical Romance (plus the pretentiousness). Real emo sounds ENERGETIC, POWERFUL and somewhat
HATEFUL. Fake emo is weak, self pity and a failed attempt to direct energy and emotion into music. Some examples of REAL EMO are Pg 99, Rites of Spring, Cap n Jazz (the only real emo band from the midwest scene) and Loma Prieta. Some examples of FAKE EMO are American Football, My Chemical Romance and Mineral.
EMO BELONGS TO HARDCORE NOT TO INDIE, POP PUNK, ALT ROCK OR ANY OTHER MAINSTREAM GENRE
