I walk on stage wearing a tie. It’s not a joke. Or maybe it is. The tie is my alter ego. A white man I get to borrow. I put him on so I can take up space without anyone getting confused. When i get tired of it, I'll wear something that is screaming how obsessed I am of being a woman, a black woman! Some good stuff to know is that if you ever have the opportunity to come to a show, We form a circle. Close. Focused. A bit intense. It looks like a cult, but no one is forced to stay. Hopefully you don't want to leave. The music can be hard to place sometimes. Thing is, we don't always have to have an opinion. But for you this time I'm going to make it easy. Let's call the genre, DANCE. It doesn’t really behave like it should and i've been doing this for a while now. Different names, different rooms, same intent. But this one feels accurate. I AM KURT.
