On Saturday morning, June 7th, it's Running for Shade! We are meeting all together at 9:00 a.m., and calling on all Berliners to support more trees and shade in our city. So grab your best running buddies, pack your gels, and experience a fundraising run in and around Humboldthain Park.
The goal of Running for Shade is to raise funds for the Volksentscheid Baum initiative and to raise awareness of the importance of trees and green-blue infrastructure for a liveable city. All donations go directly to BaumEntscheid e.V. to make Berlin weatherproof and heat-resistant.
Event Schedule:
09:00 - 09:30 Arrival and meet-up
09:30 – 09:45 Welcome and presentation from BaumEntscheid
10:00 - 12:00 Running for Shade
12:00 - 13:00 Completing the running loops, relax and connect over snacks & drinks
Route details:
With a 6:30 pace and a 5:30 pace circuit, we'll plan two running routes and one walking route through and around Humboldthain Park, which can be repeated as often as you like.
You'll soon be able to download the GPX files using the GPX download button.
The walkers among you can also choose and swap between the two routes.
Preisinformation:
As a non-profit organization, BaumEntscheid e.V. relies on donations to finance the referendum. Therefore, we would be grateful if you would donate a sum of your choice for a weatherproof and liveable Berlin with each registration. We recommend a donation of between €5 and €15 via the link here. Of course, BaumEntscheid e.V. is also happy to receive more generous donations, and you can also become a supporting member of BaumEntscheid e.V. directly.
