Dinara Kerey (Berlin) and James Mwaura (NYC) bring you a split-bill night of stand-up about dating, identity, politics, and cultural confusion testing new jokes mixed with polished, tour-tested material.

James Mwaura is a stand-up comedian and writer based in Brooklyn, New York. He’s the son of a German woman and a Kenyan man, which he agrees is weird and wrong. His comedy covers dating, politics, and everything in between. James has amassed over 50 million views across social media (@realjamesmwaura) and was selected as a Just For Laughs New Faces 2025.

Dinara Kerey is a Kazakhstani Berlin-based comedian, writer, and actress. She has just finished her first international tour with her hour, performing across Europe and North America. Her comedy blends sharp cultural observations about growing up in a post-Soviet Muslim Asian (What?!) household, dating chaos, and identity crisis. Too Eastern for the West, too Western for home and too honest for both? @dinaracomedy
