Hiro Sakai already runs six successful high-end sushi restaurants and an Italian trattoria in Japan. In 2018, the entrepreneur and sushi chef opened THE SAKAI restaurant in Frankfurt am Main on his own initiative with the aim of passing on Japanese sushi culture and his cooking technique to future generations outside Japan.
