After months of planning, building and dreaming, we are finally opening the doors of Tea & Vinyl.
Located inside a unique historical building in Friedrichshain, our new home was once part of a horse stable and has since evolved into a vibrant cultural hub filled with artists, makers and independent creative projects.
Tea & Vinyl was created from a simple idea: that tea, music and culture can bring people together in a deeper and more meaningful way.
We believe tea is more than a drink. Music is more than background noise. And a gathering can be more than just another event.
Our goal is to create a space where people can slow down, discover new perspectives, meet inspiring people and experience tea and music with attention and curiosity.
To celebrate our opening, we invite you to join us for an afternoon and evening of Chinese tea, Japanese Kimono culture, vinyl and community.

KIMONO WORKSHOP
Hosted by Menda
Discover the beauty and craftsmanship of traditional Japanese kimono culture.
Menda has spent many years collecting vintage kimonos and researching their history, symbolism and design. During this workshop, he will present a selection of rare pieces from his collection while sharing stories about traditional patterns, fabrics, seasonal motifs and decorative elements used throughout Japanese history.
Guests will have the opportunity to closely examine authentic vintage garments and learn how clothing reflects Japanese aesthetics and cultural values.

INTRODUCTION TO CHINESE TEA
A beginner-friendly workshop exploring the fundamentals of tea.
What exactly is tea? How is it produced? Why do different teas taste so different? How do you brew tea properly?
During this session, our tea master will introduce the history, culture and traditions of tea, explain the major tea categories and demonstrate traditional Chinese brewing techniques.
Whether you are completely new to tea or already a tea enthusiast, this workshop offers a great foundation for understanding one of the world’s oldest cultural traditions.

Hosted by Nico Fiftyfour
Nico is a Berlin-based filmmaker, tea lover and music curator whose musical journey has evolved from clubs and festivals into spaces dedicated to deep listening.
For this special opening evening, Nico will guide guests through a selection of ambient soundscapes, ethereal jazz, contemporary composition and organic electronic music, weaving together records that invite curiosity, imagination and connection.
The evening will begin with a short introduction from Nico about the music, records and artists featured throughout the session. Our tea master will also introduce the teas being served and share why they were selected for the evening.
Afterwards, the space opens into a free-flow gathering where everyone is welcome to engage in their own way.
Listen attentively to the music, enjoy tea from our tea bar, browse books and magazines, draw, write, play chess, meet new people or simply relax and spend time at your own pace.
Come and stay for ten minutes or three hours.
Tea will be served throughout the evening.
