Clit Comedy Club creators Anshita and Mari sit, stand and dance around topics like:

- what it’s like to take up space as a woman in this weird and dysfunctional world we’re in,
- how it feels to live in a country that isn’t yours,
- why catcalling is annoying but sometimes surprisingly refreshing,
- what it’s like to be surrounded by baby-making machines and
- how to properly lodge complaints with the patriarchy.

Women, bodies, dating, intimacy, weight, beauty and societal expectations - nothing is off limits in this 2-woman special.

“The Clitoris Act” premiered at the Hundertpro festival in 2021 and has since then entertained, educated and radicalised sold-out audiences across 20 cities in 10 different countries.

𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀:

𝗔𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗮 𝗞𝗼𝘂𝗹 (𝘀𝗵𝗲/𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆) is a Berlin based, internationally touring standup comedian from India. They are also the co-founder of Clit Comedy Club .

When she is not touring, she is performing, hosting and producing two monthly comedy shows in Berlin namely Comedy Bazaar Berlin and Word On The Street.

They also teach virtual and in-person joke writing workshops for individuals and organizations. Anshita made her debut in the standup world from the Indian reality TV show Queens of Comedy in 2017 and they were also seen opening the Funny Women Stage Awards 2022 in the UK, as the only comedian from Europe who made it to the finals.

Anshita is currently on tour with their solo hour LITTLE TOO MUCH that they were recently invited to perform at Copenhagen Pride Stage and that also get a press mention in The Leipzig Glocal - https://leipglo.com/.../little-too-much-fighting-the.../

𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿 (𝘀𝗵𝗲/𝗵𝗲𝗿) is an international comedian, comedy producer and musician from Estonia. Having been kicked out of her pretty, yet introverted homeland for being too opinionated, unattractive and loud, she’s been in very public hiding in Cologne, Germany since 2019 and performs internationally across Europe.

She’s a frequent feature in English comedy show line-ups across Germany, but her comedic timing and surprising amount of Eastern European charm have also received attention and praise in The Netherlands, UK, Belgium, Luxembourg, Czech Republic and beyond.

Mari is the creator of Clit Comedy Club, co-creator of Festrogen Festival and Random Things Comedy and is also touring around Europe with her first solo hour "Overconfident+ Underprepared".
