Three decades after Alex Proyas’s 1994 original, »The Crow« is returning to the big screen, with Bill Skarsgård (»It«, »John Wick 4«) stepping into the eponymous role of The Crow in this modern reimagining of the original graphic novel by James O'Barr. Set in a grim urban landscape, the film follows Eric Draven (Skarsgård), a musician who is resurrected from the dead to avenge his and his fiancée’s brutal murders. Armed with supernatural abilities and guided by a mystical crow, Eric is given the chance to save his true love by sacrificing himself and sets out to seek merciless revenge on their killers responsible, traversing the worlds of the living and the dead to put the wrong things right. The director of »Snow White and the Huntsman« »Ghost in the Shell« brings the incredibly dark and gritty revenge story to life once again with a slick and stylish reboot of the classic ‘90s antihero, complete with plenty of gory violence as he tracks down and kills his murderers one by one.
