Tina da Rocha

Tina da Rocha is an indie artist from Canada who writes music in her bedroom in order to self-therapize the big feelings and thoughts that come with the joys and sorrows of the growing pains of life. After her initial releases, Tina da Rocha released two self-produced tracks, during which she discovered the value in taking control of her own sound to bring the intimate, communicative and emotional nature of her songwriting across. Her upcoming debut EP moves away from the softer, singer-songwriter vibe of her previous releases and represents a new era of her artistic journey; she has begun to hone a more mature style, taking risks and embracing a more tangible and grounded sound. It explores the typical tragedies in life like heartbreak, insecurities, and growing up and finding yourself, while reflecting on the beauty in it all and, ultimately, the fact that things will turn out okay in the end. The title, I'M NOT SCARED AT ALL!, is uttered in part to convince oneself of this fact, but also with the determination of diving into something headfirst and committing wholeheartedly. This captures Tina da Rocha’s mindset in releasing this (aptly named) self-produced debut EP. The tracks take inspiration from artists spanning indie genres: the raw expression of Black Sea Dahu, the clarity of Victoria Canal, the emotiveness of Lizzy McAlpine, and the layers of Adam Melchor, to name a few. On stage she sings at the keyboad and is joined by drummer Jannis Prokisch and cellist Muriel Bonn. Playing live in this stripped-down yet texturally rich formation, the trio captures the essence of the tracks in a performance that ranges from dynamic and energetic to intimate and introspective.

FRACHILD

Since its creation three years ago, FRACHILD has been exploring themes such as compassion, personal insecurities, the complexity of human relationships, and the more painful aspects of earthly existence. The supporting element of the band is the belief that a collective spirit and the acceptance of personal struggles are the most powerful antidotes to fear. We are four friends who don’t deal with our problems alone, but together through our music and thus find our strength despite all adversity.
FRACHILD are fragile children. Alternative/Indie from Vienna. Melancholic melodies carried by three unique voices. Four-headed insecurity and endless emotions bundled up in poetic words of doubt and sorrow. For fans of artists like Daughter, boygenius and Emma Ruth Rundle.
