Trashlagoon

Trashlagoon is a German electronic music duo founded in 2011. In the same year, they released their debut album Blue Empire on the French imprint Délicieuse Musique. During this period, they worked on several 12" releases and performed live sets with artists such as Parra for Cuva, Viken Arman, Stavroz, and Fhin.

In 2015, they evolved their sound in a more experimental direction, releasing music on the legendary Cologne-based imprint Traum Schallplatten, alongside artists like Nathan Fake, Max Cooper, and Dominik Eulberg.

While Sebastian began focusing more on his solo projects, Niklas continued working as Trashlagoon and released Planet Ujou in 2020—an ambitious collaborative record with Parra for Cuva, inspired by artists such as Bon Iver, Bonobo, Four Tet, and Floating Points—on their newly established independent label.

In 2022, Niklas, as Trashlagoon, released a singer-songwriter production together with the talented Andreas Vey and Parra for Cuva on their own imprint.

After three years of dedicated exploration, Trashlagoon returns with its most ambitious project yet: Catching Fires - a genre-defying successor to Blue Empire and a bold artistic statement for electronic music in 2025.

The album weaves together the worlds that have shaped their journey so far. By merging acoustic instrumentation with the warmth of analog synthesizers, Trashlagoon cultivates a distinctive sonic landscape - one that moves effortlessly between the energy of the dancefloor and the intimate stillness of home listening.
