A b o u t   T h e   P R O D U C T I O N  :

This duet explores two intrinsic themes. One is the idea that there exists an imagination of production and reproduction, a theory developed by Immanuel Kant. The duet begins by exploring reproductive imagination—the kind that brings past experiences back to life. But gradually and with difficulty, the two dancers try to help each other emerge from this state and enter into productive imagination: the imagination that allows us to use all the knowledge derived from past experience to create new ways of being that do not yet exist. The other theme that develops in parallel with imagination is our relationship with others and how, by exploring the differences between us, we better understand ourselves and our place in the world.

A b o u t   T h e   P E R F O R M E R S :

RACHELE GIBILTERRA, born in 1999 in Venice, Italy. She graduated from the Berlin Dance Institute in 2022. During and after her graduation she produced small solo performances that were presented, the solo Where Are You Ra at the 48 Stunden NK Festival, and Skies With A Ceiling Online Hangouts by Studio 183 in collaboration with Kaltblut Magazine. She also produced visual art that has been displayed at Concept Store Studio 183, and during events such as Soho House Tiny Art Market, an independent female-artist art market curated by Sera Akyazici, and NoArtNoHome at Anomalie Berlin Art Club. Recently she received a scholarship for Body and Performative Practices in TQW, participated in the “1 Minute Artistic Death” event at New Fears Gallery, and presented an excerpt of the solo Golden House Bathed In Smoke at Marameo Berlin.

ONUR ÖZYURT is a Berlin-based dancer and choreographer originally from Türkiye. He studied Contemporary Dance at the Berlin Dance Institute and completed a Master’s in Choreography at HZT – Ernst Busch University of Performing Arts. At the center of his practice is the concept of Fulfilled Restlessness — a bodily mode of continuous movement, subtle shifts, and quiet reorganization, even in stillness. Not restlessness as lack, but as fullness that keeps itself in motion. His choreographic research investigates how the body is perpetually reorganized through resistance, contact, and fragile encounters with objects and space — exploring the tension between control and accident, and the moments when gesture becomes trace. His work unfolds in close collaboration with scenographers, sound artists, and dramaturgs.
