The westafrican kora is known to be the root for melodic structures of jazz. Barely represented in the contemporary music scene of Berlin Under The Mango Tree is proud and honoured to present, Djelifily Sako a berlin-based Kora player, with Malian roots. After the passing of his teacher Sidiki Diabaté, Sako joined the the internationally renowned son Toumani Diabeté for five years in Bamako, Mali and performed in several live and televised concerts. Since 20 years Djelifily Sako lives in Berlin and is a hidden jem of Berlin's diverse cultural scene.
