Women in Translation Month: Lesung & Gespräch mit Literaturübersetzerinnen

Im August ist „Women in Translation Month”! Aus diesem Anlass locken vier Übersetzerinnen aus ihren stillen Kämmerlein hervor und sprechen mit ihnen über die Kunst des Übersetzens.

Mit Marie Alpermann, Marie-Theres Cermann, Lucia Engelbrecht und Martina Lisa (Moderation: Tünde Malomvölgyi). Wir werden Texte auf Serbokroatisch, Hebräisch, Slowakisch, Tschechisch und vielleicht sogar auf Ungarisch hören.

In August we celebrate „Women in Translation Month”! We want to make female authors and translators more visible – and audible! On this occasion, we have invited four translators from different languages, based in Leipzig and Halle –  Marie Alpermann, Marie-Theres Cermann, Lucia Engelbrecht und Martina Lisa (moderation: Tünde Malomvölgyi) –, who will read extracts of their translations in different languages ~ namely, Serbo-Croatian, Czech, Slovakian, Hebrew and maybe even a bit Hungarian ~, and tell us about the everyday challenges and joys of a translator.
