A sweet, crafty afternoon learnign screen printing, printing your own x-mas cards and sipping tea!

Designer Mona Cordes will show you how to print your own special sets of x-mas cards with your own creative touch. 

In this workshop, you will...

• ...learn how to mix up your colour, options for pigments and binders and how they can work on different kind of works, be it textile or paper.

• ...take care of washing screens and drying process and shown little tips and tricks

• ...make your own Christmas card designs and print it!

Leave the workshop with your own personal cards, the knowledge of design making for silk screen printing and an introduction to screen print!

This workshop is suitable for anyone, you don’t need to have printed ever before.

A plus? The next day, there will be a Christmas Market at Kunstraum Heartspace and you can sell your cards at the market as a group for a small fee of €6, too!

All materials are provided. (You can bring your own cards or paper, but there will be 10 cards for each participant to print on!)

About Mona Cordes:

Mona Cordes is a fashion print designer and graduated from her Masters from Kingston School of Art in 2020, London. Her work embodies the physical expressions of multi-colored kaleidoscopic visions. With the help of statements and boldness through graphics and choice of themes, she is voicing political and ecological messages. Her brand is working towards a social sustainable business model, locally produced in London and Berlin by only herself.

Mona Cordes offers sustainable high end garments for any gender. She calls for community coherence. Her work thrives through storytelling using themes of obscurity and rebellion. Cordes is a freelance creative who is working in set design, production, photography and tutoring in print workshops including in the art school Weissensee in Berlin as a screen print tutor.
