Nach und nach wächst hier im Baukastenprinzip ein Zentrum des kreativen Lebens. Am östlichen Ende des RAW - Geländes entwickelt sich seit diesem Sommer ein neuer Dreh- und Angelpunkt des urbanen Lebens: Ein Rückzugs-, Erlebnis- und Erfahrungsraum für die Gestaltungsfreudigen dieser Stadt, ein Spielplatz für Kreative und Vordenker, für Künstler und Macher, für Nachtlebende und Nachtliebende - schlicht: eine NEUE HEIMAT. In einer von Industriebauten geprägten Kulisse wechseln sich Innenhof-Idyllen und Hallenarchitektur aus dem 19. Jahrhundert ab. Schritt für Schritt werden die ehemaligen Mitbetreiber der Bar25 und des Chalet Clubs zusammen mit ihrem Team das umliegende Gelände neu definieren und junge, frische Konzepte im urbanen Raum Wirklichkeit werden lassen. Konzepte, die über eine herkömmliche Nutzung als reine Club- oder Gastronomielocation hinausgehen. Auf über 3000m² wird all das vereint, was Berlin und ganz besonders Friedrichshain ausmacht: Vielseitigkeit, Offenheit und Internationalität. Als facettenreiches Ganzes soll die NEUE HEIMAT zu einem Schmelztiegel, einer bunten Plattform, einem Ort der Begegnung werden. Kommt mit auf diese Reise. In Berlin-Friedrichshain a new linchpin of urban life was born this year’s summer: a safe haven, a realm of experience, a playground for the creative, the artists, the movers and shakers, the nightowls of this city. Simply, a new home. Surrounded by industrial buildings among idyllic courtyards and factory halls dating back to the 19th century the former operators of renowned Bar25 and Chalet Club will gradually redefine the area. Fresh, new concepts shall be realized in an urban environment – concepts quite distant from any conventional use as mere club or catering location. The VILLAGE MARKET - a streetfood market, which combines culinary treats with art, performances, live bands and DJs – will be the prelude to this long-term development. Opening on August 3rd and from then on taking place every Sunday the VILLAGE MARKET is only the first of various events planned at NEUE HEIMAT. Stretched out over more than 3000m², all these things shall be joined together, that make Berlin and Friedrichshain in particular so unique: multiplicity, open-mindedness and multiculturalism.
