Workshop: Von Höhlenmalerei zur Stickerei "Vaisseu Infini" von Dalila Dalléas Bouzar

Prehistoric cave paintings in the Algerian desert inspired Dalila Dalléas Bouzars for her work "Vaisseau Infini". The embroidered textile installation immerses the viewer in a search for traces of early human history and reflects on collective art and feminist appropriation. The female body and its power in the focus of the work offers space for reflection and discourse on role models and femininity. The workshop offers a collective art experience and invites exchange. A theoretical examination of the work and the artistic intention is complemented by a practical experience of the artist's chosen medium of embroidery. The participants will make their own embroideries, which they can then take home with them. Embroidery experience is not necessary, the basics will be taught in the workshop. All materials will be provided.

If available and desired, you are also welcome to bring your own textiles (jute bags or similar) for embroidery.
