It all began with a theater workshop at the Galli Institute in Munich:

On February 1, 1997, the "Odysseus" project took to the stage there. From this collaboration, the participants founded the independent theater group Odysseus on May 23, 1997 - with the ambitious goal of writing and performing a play themselves.

Renamed ArtikultTheater in the meantime, a creative process took its course, which was rewarded with the successful premiere of "Odysseus - oder die Götter proben wieder" on April 23, 1999. Now the group was faced with the decision of whether and how to continue. A small circle of "daring actors" took up the challenge and established another independent theater group in Munich.

And it worked: ArtikultTheater has since celebrated its 25th production and continues to win over audiences with its productions, which are as multi-layered as society itself.

There is a lot of movement in the ensemble: New actors and actresses always mean new ideas and new ways of working together. The team thus retains its creative freshness - and ArtikultTheater continues to produce plays full of life.
