cie. toula limnaios

the cie. toula limnaios (cie. - compagnie) is an ensemble for contemporary dance and was founded in brussels in 1996 by the choreographer and interpreter toula limnaios and the composer ralf r. ollertz. In 1997 it moved its headquarters to berlin at the invitation of the akademie der künste. in 2003 she opened her own theater halle tanzbühne berlin, which has established itself as an internationally networked production house with a multifunctional stage.

in addition to her artistic work, she is not only committed to innovative working structures, but also to the mediation of dance in our society. the cie. toula limnaios and her ensemble put on 60 - 70 performances per year and work with 18 permanent employees. with flexible, lean but highly effective structures and in co-production with international partners, she continuously performs high-quality ensemble work and is thus one of the most successful ensembles for contemporary dance today.
