The German Chamber Orchestra Berlin

was founded in the fall of 1989 in the spirit of reunification. In the more than 30 years of its existence, it has become an integral part of Berlin's musical and cultural life. Today, significantly rejuvenated, it reflects the atmosphere of Berlin. Musicians from all over Berlin as well as international colleagues form an ensemble that continues to inspire with its curiosity and commitment. It captivates audiences with its lively and authentic interaction and always impresses with its excellent sound quality. The ensemble has undergone remarkable development for many years under the artistic direction of first concertmaster Gabriel Adorján. The DKO's repertoire ranges from baroque and classical works to contemporary compositions, which are often juxtaposed. The orchestra also aims to draw attention to works on the fringes of the conventional concert repertoire.
