Futur.X

In the artist's words:

We, Stefan Ammer, Sophie Gigou, Victoria Schmidt, Anastasiya Shtemenko and Paulina Platzer, have been working together on the studio stage at Theaterwissenschaft München since 2018. We realized that the rehearsal process and staging are largely dependent on the composition of the group. That's why we founded the Futur.X collective in 2020. We see ourselves as a theater collective that looks to the future. The variable X stands for the openness of conceptual development. It is not to be understood as a blank space to be filled, but rather as a constant unknown that influences and drives our work. In 2021, we expanded our collective to include Fiona Grün and Alexandra Paal. With different artistic focuses, we share responsibility as a collective. Coworking, transparent communication and equality are the basic principles of our work, which have proven themselves in our joint productions. Our projects gain complexity through our diverse backgrounds and skills.
