KinderMusikTheater e.V.

In the artist's words:

The KinderMusikTheater-Verein performs on stages all over Berlin. True to the motto: Culture where the children live. Our association has been initiating, organizing and realizing a wide range of cultural events for children since 1989. At that time, the plan was actually just to organize a festival. But then it became a year-round theater program. Three venues soon became twelve - and during festivals there are even up to 30 venues throughout the city. In the meantime, the KinderMusikTheater e.V. has long been an established and recognized institution in Berlin's children's culture scene (and since 1999 also as an independent youth welfare organization). In addition to the current repertoire, the KinderMusikTheater e.V. has organized many festivals, offered theater pedagogical workshops and further training and founded and shaped networks for theater pedagogical work and the development of children's culture in Berlin (e.g. the specialist forum SICHTEN).
