"Plastic passion is a gold guarantee, The plastic passion is murdering me" once sang The Cure. Whether they were referring to vinyl in 1979 remains to be seen. More likely the consumption of cheap plastic products in general.
In any case, the quote also applies to DJ Krawallnadel, for whom vinyl is the ultimate sound carrier par excellence, but who also has to live with the side effects (lugging crates & turntables must have). For almost 10 years now, he has only put the black gold on his turntables and has amassed a very extensive repertoire through almost 30 years of collecting.
His preference for rock music in all its facets is clearly reflected in his sets, but he is also not afraid to include excursions into pop, hip hop or current top hits from the last few decades.
