In the artist's words:

The decision for MATTHIAS C. EITNER to break away from the photographic imagery of advertising in 2015 and turn to painting to create a more comprehensive perspective had many reasons, the most important of which was the concern about the creeping loss of social center and social peace, of talking to each other, a perception that has seen its relevance confirmed worldwide in the following years. Playing with the realization that reality, according to A. Einstein, is an illusion, albeit a very persistent one, that we are all the sum of the decisions we have made or not made, is the intention of this work and enables authentic, socially relevant communication between work and recipient. This force field initially relates to the artistic work, but not necessarily to the effect on the recipient.
