In the artist's words:

Peer Holthuizen was born in Eindhoven in the Netherlands in 1960. From 1979 to 1981 he studied at the University of the Arts in Utrecht, the Netherlands, and from 1981 to 1985 he studied painting under Prof. Gotthard Graubner at the Düsseldorf Art Academy. Since 1988 he has been working as a painter and sculptor in interdisciplinary projects and actions. Peer Holthuizen lives and works in Oldenburg.
