rosmarin is the golden mean between perfectionism and lightness, between nerd sound and easy listening, between richness of detail and minimalism. rosmarin is foggy and yet crystal clear, it is wide awake and dreamy, it is driving but never hectic. rosmarin sneaks up on you and explodes, alternately inviting you to dance and to dream, crossing euphoria and sensitivity. rosmarin is everyday poetry, vibe and the beauty of the banal, it's building up and tearing down, it's a little purple and a little green.

rosmarin, that's five fifths that make up a broad whole; that's warm indie pop salted with funk and a pinch of electronic dance music. rosmarin, that's a young band that mixes challenging, playful instrumentals with thoughtful songwriting to create a sound that stands on its own - with the constant aim of stimulating their own musical infatuation in the best possible way. Driven by a longing for the stage and the dream of the perfect song, the five-piece will storm onto the German music market in spring 2024 with their debut EP.

Silas, Janosch, Lucas, Noah and Luca all come from the Kassel catchment area. The local cultural scene is manageable, everyone knows each other through three corners at most. So it's no wonder that parts of the circle of friends have been making music together for years and that another band project preceded the formation of rosmarin in the summer of 2022. When Janosch, Lucas, Noah and Luca were looking for a singer as part of a new line-up, they unexpectedly came across Silas, whose sensitive, lilting vocals perfectly matched their instrumental playing at their very first session together. In an associative brainstorming session, a band name is soon found - in reference to a chicken cart of the same name in the supermarket parking lot around the corner: rosmarin. The first song sketches are created within a very short time, and the debut single "ich will" is released in January 2023. "zu zweit" and "wozu" are promptly followed by a signing with major label Four Music in late summer 2023.
