SINU is a German-Turkish indie pop project. Deep vibes,
spherical soundscapes with shimmering, lyrical lyrics that use the German language
language skillfully and unusually musically. Emotional,
awakened, thoughtful, socially critical. Rooted in a bilingual
childhood, singer and lyricist Sinan Köylü writes songs in German and
German and Turkish, which fill the room with their richness of sound, their poetic
poetic quality and beauty, fill the room and challenge common linguistic clichés
of both German and Turkish.
Music that matters. Music that grabs the audience, wakes them up and
and shake them up. Driving, modern beats, an unusually deep voice,
that suddenly breaks out into falsetto again and again, minimalist guitars
and a cathartic vibe characterize the music of SINU and are reminiscent
of great role models such as Bon Iver, Ben Howard and Ry X. From love, intoxication,
transience to criticism of racism and consumerism, SINU also devotes itself
also addresses those important topics that receive too little attention in the
pop landscape.
Live, SINU plays both captivatingly entertaining solo and epically brute with a full band.
