Bio:
At the end of 2016, Yaw Herra made an impressive impression with a new name and fresh tracks on the
the "artist to watch" lists of some fans and critics. The trio of songs, "Dope", "Too many
Rapper aber zu wenig Flow" and "Scheiss Drauf" as a Facebook release, was the starting signal for
a new chapter in the Koblenz native's career, which is now being continued with the new EP "Stimme der
Unvernunft", which will be released on the new label Corn Dawg Records.
After a long time in the game, countless songs on EPs and mixtapes, as well as live shows over and over
and live shows, at some point everyone automatically asks themselves where this is going, what the
music is supposed to say and what the artist is essentially about. With Yaw Herra, Henry
Appiah has also focused on his name: Yaw, derived from his African
origin and Herra, inspired by the weed variety, hits the nail on the head.
Processing experiences, conveying interesting facts, stimulating listeners in a positive way is the
mission that Yaw Herra has now set himself - and of course to write a few tracks about
that he is the best MC and that smoking weed is the best pastime. Soundwise
rooted in the 90s, boombap will always be the home of Yaw Herra's music, but expanding this
expanding this world is also high on the MC's to-do list.
