When YONAKA take to the stage, they gather a millennial rock audience of the friendliest kind around them. With catchy melodies, an energetic rock attitude and an insane vocal power, the Brits captivate a fanbase who are sure to be reminded here and there of some of their favorite bands from the old days such as Limp Bizkit, Paramore, Rage Against The Machine or the punky chanting of Bonaparte. But these are by no means the only influences that YONAKA combine in their music - they bring a real genre beast with pop elements, fat hip-hop beats, angry punk rap and nu-metal to the stage. And that's exactly what makes YONAKA so special: their sound is never consistent, the only guideline they have is their feelings. The trio, consisting of Theresa Jarvis (vocals), Alex Crosby (bass) and George Werbrouck-Edwards (guitar), dedicate their songs in particular to themes of mental health and self-determination. They have now reached 150 million streams, played concerts with Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, The Libertines, Bring Me The Horizon and Nothing But Thieves, among others, and have performed at countless festivals in Europe, the UK, America and Canada. After their outstanding second album "Seize the Power", YONAKA's latest EP "Welcome to My House" does not invite their fans into their modest four walls in MTV Cribs allure, but welcomes all fans to get to know their emotional world. The band's lead singer, Theresa, explains that each song represents a memory of her respective feelings and that she wanted to metaphorically open a door with the title to show the audience which songs meant what to her at which time of her life. She also emphasizes how she wants to support her fans: "When you listen to us, I hope you feel empowered, heard, and like you're not alone. Hearing other people's stories has helped me heal and grow so much and I'd like to be that light for other people." In March, this great band, whose name means midnight in Japanese, will be coming to Germany for some rousing concerts under this motto.
