The best beer gardens in Munich

If you know the beer garden at the Muffatwerk - that's a good thing. Who doesn't, what's going on there? Here you can sweeten your afternoon & let the evening fade away into the night. Of course with a nice drink & something delicious to eat on top. In addition to classic beer garden dishes, there are dishes with Mediterranean influences & light, vegetarian dishes. What's cool is that the beer garden at the Muffatwerk was the first certified organic beer garden in Munich!

The Bar Am See / Haus is the most wonderful location for your warm summer evening. Whether it's a cocktail, aperitivo or a classic beer - nothing is left to be desired here. Food? You can easily get it in the beer garden next door. NICE! The atmosphere is particularly beautiful after sunset, when the fairy lights shine in all their glory. By the way, there are also some cool events coming up soon, from DJ acts to summer parties!

The Hirschau is always worth a visit. Whether it's a juicy grilled chicken, classic Obazda, Steckerlfisch or an oven-fresh pretzel, you're sure not to go home hungry here! There's also live music on Thursdays and at weekends when the weather is nice. And another special feature: there are changing seasonal beers, such as the quaffable Urtyp or the world-famous Löwenbräu Oktoberfest beer. Cheers!

Schwabing's Osterwald garden? We love it! You can look forward to traditional Bavarian cuisine in this sweet location. How about a vegan vegetable steak from the grill? Or perhaps a classic Wiener schnitzel? Kaiserschmarrn for dessert is a must! One thing is certain: everything tastes fantastic & we like to forget the time here over a beer or two!

Right on Wiener Platz, in the middle of ancient chestnut trees, you can enjoy your beer & find Bavarian delicacies. Our personal highlight: you should definitely try the chicken! For the sweet fans among you, there's also a stand with roasted almonds, popcorn & co! So let's go there!

You can only get here on foot or by bike, but believe me - it's worth it. An absolute must-try is definitely the original ox roll from the Ochsenbraterei! There's even a vegan version for veggies - DELICIOUS! All dishes are cooked fresh and with regional ingredients. Musical entertainment is also provided by changing musicians who all play unplugged.

The Ayinger in der Au provides you with creative Bavarian delicacies & 8 different types of beer. The dishes are super varied and there is definitely something for everyone, whether you prefer vegetarian, vegan or meat. To top it all off, there's modern or traditional pub music and if the sun isn't shining, you can take refuge in the rustic pub.

Last but not least - the beer garden at the Chinese Tower is of course a must for Munich. In addition to the culinary classics, you will find traditional folk music and even vegan dishes. Alternatively, you can also bring your own snack! You're never alone in this beer garden, unless you're the first one there in the morning or stay until long after the last drink has been served. And there's always something to look at!
