The 1st family concert of the season will be an adventure! Together with the fully-staffed Würzburg Philharmonic Orchestra, we're heading to the far north - to Norway. This is where Peer Gynt lives, a daredevil and liar who causes his mother many worries because he leads everyone around by the nose with his stories. With excerpts from Edvard Grieg's famous music to Henrik Ibsen's stage drama of the same name, we follow Peer Gynt on his journey into the wide world. After a wild chase, he ends up in the fantastic realm of the trolls and meets the mighty mountain king. In the Moroccan desert, he watches a dreamlike sunrise. How will the story end for cheeky Peer?
