1. Klassik-Dialog „Wiener Schulen“

For centuries, Vienna was the artistic powerhouse of Europe. The "First Viennese School" around Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven laid the foundations for this importance. Gioele Coco, solo oboist of the NPW, presents Mozart's endearing oboe concerto. Franz Schubert followed in the footsteps of his Viennese role models and added a pinch of Rossini in the 6th Symphony. The "Second Viennese School" around Schönberg, Webern and Berg developed a new path from this rich musical heritage. And "Wiener Blut" (Viennese Blood) is a wonderful homage by the waltz king Strauss to the most musical city in the world.
