A concert without an instrument, a song without a voice, a dialog without an answer, a duet with only one body. What does absence sound like? And can silence be made visible?

In the concert performance +1, a performer, a percussionist and an audio artist encounter ghostly counterparts: a missing musical instrument, a deceased voice, a song line that has not been handed down, a crackle in the recording. In a ludicrous, séance-like stage setting, they record the silence again and again, multiplying, amplifying, distorting and eavesdropping on it. +1 invites you to remember and imagine with your ears - to listen into what was there, could be there, is there.

Hamburg-based theater maker Greta Granderath recently staged the acclaimed concert performance HIT at Kraftwerk Bille, invited to the Leipzig SEANAPS Festival (September 19 and 21, 2024, LOFFT Theater).
