100 Jahre Planetarien - Special | Planetarium Hamburg

We are celebrating 100 years of planetariums, together with all planetariums worldwide. Although the Hamburg Planetarium is only 93 years old, the artificial starry sky of a planetarium projector was first presented in October 1923. At this event, two different productions span the arc from prehistory to the future: "100 Years of Eternity" takes a look at the origins of the "Miracle of Jena", as the planetarium was enthusiastically called. "KIRA", produced by award-winning planetarium director Peter Popp, ventures an imaginative and playful look into the future: what could the planetarium of the future look like and what role could it play?
