Musical pre-program from 10:15 a.m. in the Upper Foyer
Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy was one of the most successful composers of his time. Not only did he learn new languages with ease, he was also celebrated throughout Europe as a musical prodigy. He wrote his private thoughts to his sister Fanny - also a composer - in thousands of letters. This concert is about friendship and solidarity as well as wanderlust and magical fairy worlds.
