In the public's favor, Peter Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto in B flat minor occupies one of the top 10 spots in this genre, far overshadowing his two other piano concertos. Yet it was quite controversial during the composer's lifetime - the comments that Tchaikovsky also had to listen to from colleagues ranged from "unplayable" to "pathetic". Our debut artist Eva Gevorgyan, who has already completely enthralled Potsdam audiences twice with her breathtaking playing, fearlessly accepts the challenge of this repertoire perennial and promises an excitingly sparkling interpretation. The first encounter with the late Romantic symphony by Croatian composer Dora Pejačević, whose brilliant works have been experiencing a long-overdue rediscovery for several years, should also be exciting in the best sense of the word.
