Giorgio Battistelli is an incredibly creative man whose impressive oeuvre, including the Golden Lion at the Venice Biennale Musica in 2022, includes 35 works for music theater alone. Après Josquin presents him as one of the most important symphonic composers of our time.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart usually performed his 27 piano concertos himself. The Concerto in A major K. 488 is one of his most famous, as its effortless lightness is unmatched in Mozart's oeuvre. As last year, Matthias Kirschnereit, one of the world's most distinguished interpreters of classical music, will be the soloist. Max Reger is a rare guest on our concert platform. Why is that? Perhaps he stood in his own way, torn between a belief in progress and a sense of tradition in the early 20th century. His Mozart Variations represent precisely these two poles, are his most popular orchestral work and continue to unfold their charm to this day.
