31. Africa-Alive Film- und Kulturfestival: NTJAM ROSIE / Kamerun/Niederlande

Concert to kick off the 31st Africa-Alive Festival 2025
Since the release of her critically acclaimed album "Elle" in 2010, Ntjam Rosie, born in Cameroon in 1983, has built up a large, loyal fan base in the Netherlands and abroad. She has thrilled the jazz world with her unique live shows on tours in 20 different countries. Ntjam Rosie has played on various stages and festivals, including the North Sea Jazz Festival.

Her 2020 album "Family & Friends" is a musical cocktail of groovy Afro influences, soul, pop, jazz and R&B. In her most recently released 7th album "Home Cooking", she drew even more inspiration from her native Cameroon. Ntjam Rosie does not strive for perfection in her music, but for vulnerability.

During her performance at the opening of the 31st Africa-Alive Festival at the Brotfabrik, we will be able to enjoy wonderful compositions inspired by her grandmother's voice, her family and the deliciousness of home-cooked food, all based on the feeling that Rosie experiences in her home country of Cameroon. Music is like food, it heals the soul.
