In the organizer's words:

The co-founders of this initiative are Elena Yaqubee and Fabio Joel Tunno. They have been working together for almost three years and have combined their ideas, experiences and talents and decided to start a journey of "Active Art". The aim of this project is to show the world the real part of Afghanistan and denounce the violence and oppression. 34 Afghan Windows consists of an experiential journey where the various arts, such as music, poetry,
action, storytelling, photography and video flow harmoniously into one another and emphasize the desire for peace, justice and solidarity.
