8. HUTFESTIVAL - im Kulturhauptstadtjahr

In the organizer's words:

The HUT Festival in Chemnitz is an annual cultural festival that transforms the city center into a colourful stage for music, art and community for a weekend. The name "HUT" stands for "House of Urban Types" and represents the diversity of the city's urban subcultures and creative scenes. The festival features a mixture of live music, dance performances, art installations and creative workshops. Artists from Chemnitz as well as national and international acts perform on various stages and open-air areas.

Typical of street art is the well-known "hat collection" or playing "on the hat". This was also the inspiration for the title of the festival. At the same time, we would also like to encourage you to wear a hat during the festival this weekend. We would like to see a sea of hats in all shapes and colors, decorated with colorful hatbands.
