True crime on the Weser! Immerse yourself in the story of the fish children Aaloise, Caali and Stichly. The two eel children Aaloise and Caali were just out and about with their shoal - but one day Caali disappears! Together with the whole shoal of eel children! Aaloise and the three-spined Stichly follow the tracks and embark on an adventurous journey from France to northern Germany, overcoming hydroelectric power stations and questioning witnesses such as a hipster salmon, friendly rudd and an elegant water bird, finally reaching the Weser and taking on the international glass eel mafia. Showdown at Bremen Airport!

The European eel has to migrate several thousand kilometers in the course of its life, which is why an eel transforms four times in its lifetime. Eel children are also called glass eels because they are completely transparent. There are criminal gangs who catch and smuggle these glass eels illegally. They can make a lot of money from this - even more than from other crimes!
