AHAB, the inventors of nautical doom, also interpret a nautical novel on their latest album and were inspired by Jules Verne, the grand seigneur of science fiction.
On "The Coral Tombs", AHAB take their fans on a musical journey with Captain Nemo and Professor Arronax through the depths of the vast oceans and the abysmal nature of humanity - whereby the new album is probably the one of all AHAB albums that most closely resembles a real soundtrack: it is evil, it is longing, it is sad, it is meditative, it is vast, it is expansive, it is ridiculously epic and as heavy as the colossal octopus itself.

A dark encounter of black metal and crust punk, with little bits of post-rock and metal. With "Richtfeuer", the band from Hanover/Kassel/Münster has released an album of songs immersed in darkness, whose dirty sound is very much in keeping with the massive and grim character of their song epics.
