"It was the most exciting journey of my life, but also the most instructive." 30,000 kilometers, 19 countries, a whole pile of moments, encounters and experiences shaped seven months in the life of singer-songwriter Alex Austen. With his own camper van and plenty of self-confidence, he traveled from Germany to the most beautiful mosques in Uzbekistan, the wild camels of Kazakhstan, all the way to the Afghan border and back. What remains are the encounters with wonderful people who taught him one thing: the world and its people are all the same.

During this trip, he wrote new songs about everyday things that are not commonplace in those countries. Whether the coffee in Bishkek or the rediscovery of his courage. Alex Austen picks up the guitar and talks about the world out there.
