Alexander von Schlippenbach Trio

In the organizer's words:

The Schlippenbach Trio has been an institution in European improvisational music for over fifty years. Alexander von Schlippenbach founded the trio in 1970 with Evan Parker on saxophone and Paul Lovens on drums. In addition to many performances on different continents, the trio goes on its famous European "Winter Tour" every year in December. Since 2020, von Schlippenbach has been accompanied by clarinettist Rudi Mahall and Norwegian percussionist Dag Magnus Narvesen. In December 2024, you can experience a station of the "Winterreise" with the three improvisers live at the JazzHall Hamburg.
