Understanding each other blindly, dreaming and creating together - on October 4, sisters Anouchka & Katharina Hack (cello & piano) will present their new album "Alle Menschen werden Schwestern" at the Orchesterzentrum NRW in their hometown of Dortmund.
Here, the listeners themselves become the creators of the music: in spontaneous improvisations, their impulses become the inspiration for the musicians.
The inseparable bond between siblings can also be heard in compositions by the Boulanger sisters, Fanny Hensel and Felix Mendelssohn.
The Ukrainian-German composer Marina Baranova has created a new piece for this program inspired by Beethoven's "Ode to Joy" entitled "All People Become Sisters" - with this atmospheric music as well as songs by Ludwig van Beethoven, Richard Strauss and Alicia Keys, hope as a unifying force between all people is the focus of a musical search for clues to the question: What brings us together?
The concert will end with a reception in the foyer of the Orchesterzentrum to celebrate the release of the album. The album will be released on October 4 on the Berlin Classics label, in cooperation with Deutschlandfunk.
