OLD KNOWNS
Alte Bekannte are without doubt one of the most extraordinary phenomena on the concert scene. The quintet celebrates their German-language a cappella songs with an incomparable authenticity, in which EVERYTHING! is produced with human voices without exception, including the rhythm accompaniment.

At the same time, Alte Bekannte have continued a long-standing tradition since their successful launch in 2018 as the legitimate successors to the disbanded Wise Guys, as two original Wise Guys singers, Daniel 'Dän` Dickopf and Björn Sterzenbach, are also founding members of
Old acquaintances.
For Alte Bekannte, the stage is what they call "their natural habitat", a place where the musicians feel particularly at home. This feeling is automatically transferred to the audience, as the band's concerts are experiences for all the senses.
senses. Old acquaintances deliver a highly emotional show that goes far beyond just listening to music for the audience and turns every performance into a shared experience for band and listeners.
Since the end of the lockdown in July 2021, Alte Bekannte have played well over 160 concerts. Their successful 2023 tour (motto: 'Nothing beats LIVE!') will continue in 2024 with the same high intensity. In their shows, they present a variety of their own songs - the focus is currently on the current,
fourth album 'Stabil' (2023; number 23 in the German album charts) - as well as some unforgettable Wise Guys classics.
Dän Dickopf's illness has now been happily overcome. In December 2021, the popular singer suffered a serious stroke, spent two months in hospital with subsequent rehabilitation and fought his way back on stage with an iron will.
back on stage with an iron will. "The music and my colleagues gave me a lot of support and strength," says the musician, looking back on difficult days.
Seeing Dän Dickopf again with Alte Bekannte on the extensive 2024 tour after this encouraging convalescence fits in with what Björn Sterzenbach reveals about the flair of the current program: "There is music and lyrics to dream to, to think about, sometimes to shed a tear, and at the end there is unrestrained dancing in the hall! Alte Bekannte concerts are an interplay of music,
close communication between us and our fans, including a good time together for everyone present!" If you want to see this for yourself, you should definitely visit the band on their 'Nix geht über live!' tour - because Alte Bekannte are the ultimate concert experience on stage!
In addition to their favorite task, live concerts, Alte Bekannte are enthusiastically devoting themselves to recording two new albums this year! The long-awaited Christmas album will finally be released in autumn and the band's fifth studio album will be released in time for the start of the new live program at the beginning of 2025.
